About The Role

We are seeking a contract Content Designer to join our team remotely. The position demands a strong focus on design expertise, particularly with a robust skill set in design software and a keen eye for digital and social content. Workload fluctuates by season and campaign, ranging from primarily design tasks to a greater emphasis on video work. While foundational design skills are essential, flexibility to handle basic video editing tasks is also required.

The role is initially for six months, with the possibility of extension based on team needs.

Core Design Responsibilities

Produce digital content across various online and offline platforms including social graphics, display advertisements, email visuals, landing pages, video graphics, and presentation decks.
Design printed and event materials such as banners, brochures, and branded assets.
Create toolkits, one-pagers, and materials intended for partners.
Develop and maintain reusable templates using Canva and Adobe Illustrator.
Design in-app screenshots, user guides, and other product-related visuals.
Ensure consistent visual branding across all channels.

Video Editing Scope

Edit social video clips (e.g., Reels, TikToks, Shorts) by cutting and trimming footage.
Add captions, text overlays, and basic graphic enhancements.
Apply simple transitions, effects, and background music using Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut.
Perform light cleanup and formatting of videos submitted by creators or influencers.

Success Measures

Timely delivery of cohesive, on-brand visual assets.
Creation of templates and systems that simplify large-scale content production.
Video content that is clean, social platform-appropriate, and efficient in production.
Ability to adapt work focus according to evolving campaign needs.
Smooth and collaborative interactions with the marketing team.

Tools Utilized

Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Figma for design work.
Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut for video editing.
Knowledge of After Effects is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience producing short-form content for community or consumer applications.
Familiarity with motion graphics and After Effects.
Background in supporting creator or influencer content initiatives.
Korean language skills are advantageous but not required.

Professional Experience and Skills

Minimum of three years experience in graphic or content design.
Strong portfolio demonstrating digital and print design capabilities.
Advanced skill in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Practical knowledge of video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro or CapCut including cuts, captions, text overlays, and simple effects.
Motivation to further enhance video editing skills in response to content demands.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines in a fully remote setup.
Location preference for candidates based on the West Coast, specifically Los Angeles, to occasionally collaborate in person.

Role Details & Commitment

Contract role classified as an Independent Contractor.
Duration initially set for five to six months, with possible extension.
Fully remote position with preference given to West Coast applicants.
Reporting structure: Marketing Manager.
