Job description

Role Overview

The Contract Specialist is responsible for overseeing the contracting process within the EPRS Division, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations, and monitoring contractor performance to guarantee delivery aligned with the scope of work.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least eight years of hands-on experience in Contract Award, Administration, Planning, and Control/Operations.
  • Experience working in demanding and multicultural team environments.
  • Proficient in English communication, both written and spoken.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare, manage, and oversee contracts within the EPRS Division, including monitoring the tendering process, updating technical specifications, and enforcing contractual provisions including Liquidated Damages.
  • Develop tender strategies and manage all documentation associated with tendering and contracting processes.
  • Track contractor performance through regular progress reports and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to guarantee contract compliance and enforce clauses such as Liquidated Damages as needed.
  • Deliver timely and accurate execution and analysis of routine and ad-hoc contractor performance reports, including key performance indicators.
  • Proactively identify and address contractual compliance issues, risks, and bottlenecks through root cause analysis and development of mitigation strategies.
  • Review and analyze contract documentation, gathering pertinent data to provide expert feedback and insights.
  • Seek and propose enhancement opportunities for contract scope and technical specifications to optimize resources in future contracts.
  • Engage actively in planning activities like budgeting and cost management within contract administration, including preparing and presenting relevant information to management.
