Cost Controller

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller specializing in manufacturing to join our team in Puducherry. This role entails preparing and maintaining standard costs for products, analyzing budgets and variances, monitoring inventory and production costs, and ensuring compliance with company and statutory policies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costing models for all product lines and validate Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Conduct thorough reviews of inventory valuation and costing methods to ensure accuracy.
• Formulate the annual operating budget, oversee budget spending, and provide detailed variance analyses.
• Analyze and review material price variances and overhead absorption variances, proposing corrective measures as necessary.
• Monitor conditions such as slow-moving or obsolete stock, participate actively in physical stock checks, and ensure inventory reconciliation accuracy.
• Track production costs per unit, examine scrap and wastage levels, and lead initiatives aimed at cost reduction to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Prepare and submit management information system (MIS) reports daily, weekly, and monthly; possess experience in handling both direct and indirect taxation.
• Assess capital expenditure projects by evaluating their return on investment (ROI) and payback periods.
• Maintain strict adherence to internal control policies and procedures, assisting in internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

Technical Expertise Required

• Proficiency in SAP FI/CO or SAP S/4HANA financial modules.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
