Position Overview
An established international school is looking for a Curriculum Coordinator to strengthen curriculum design, support teaching quality, and contribute to academic growth across the school. The role suits an educational leader who understands the American curriculum well and is committed to improving learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, rollout, and regular evaluation of the American curriculum for the assigned grade levels.
- Partner with school leaders and teachers to keep the curriculum aligned with academic standards and effective classroom practice.
- Provide teachers with coaching, mentoring, classroom-based feedback, and instructional support.
- Create and execute plans that raise student performance and overall academic achievement.
- Manage curriculum mapping, assessment planning, and the preparation of learning resources.
- Track teaching effectiveness and help ensure curriculum goals are delivered consistently.
- Review student achievement data, identify patterns, and suggest focused intervention strategies.
- Organize and lead professional development activities for faculty members.
- Encourage modern teaching approaches and strong use of educational technology.
- Make sure curriculum delivery follows accreditation expectations, school rules, and academic requirements.
- Work with department heads and senior leaders to advance the school’s academic priorities.
- Build a cooperative environment centered on ongoing improvement and educational quality.
- Contribute to school improvement planning, curriculum review cycles, and accreditation work.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in curriculum coordination, instructional leadership, or academic management within an international school offering the American curriculum.
- Good understanding of curriculum development, assessment models, and effective teaching practices.
- Proven background in coaching teachers and strengthening classroom performance.
- Experience in curriculum mapping, educational planning, and analyzing student results.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to lead collaborative groups and handle several academic initiatives at once.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and school management or educational systems.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Must be fluent in English.
- Prior involvement in school accreditation processes such as Cognia, NEASC, or comparable frameworks is a plus.
- Genuinely interested in educational innovation, continuous improvement, and student success.
- Able to work effectively in a multicultural international school setting.
