Overview
PIPECARE Group, a trusted partner for over two decades in maintaining pipeline and facility asset integrity, seeks a skilled Electronics Technician. This role involves collaborating closely with engineering teams to recommend design and manufacturing optimizations, diagnosing technical issues, and proposing effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products strictly following schematics or design criteria, utilizing various testing instruments, hand tools, and precision soldering methods.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair both finalized products and returned items from the field.
- Construct experimental circuits or complete prototype models based on engineering directions, technical guides, and expertise in electronics.
- Operate machinery such as drills to craft necessary components like coils and other electronics-related parts.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs within the ERP system.
- Perform tasks involving mold crabs, flaps, connectors, and related components.
- Keep work areas organized and compliant with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
- Conduct pressure testing procedures on equipment.
- Carry out soldering and preparation of both internal and external electronics.
- Wind coils and prepare necessary tool accessories.
- Test software and hardware systems.
- Perform molding operations using MS1000 equipment.
- Execute pressure testing on external electronics and containers.
- Conduct final inspections on tools and calibrate them as needed.
- Test incoming printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Prepare materials and components for research, development, and internal projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Possess 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Fundamental understanding and hands-on experience with electronic instrumentation and measurement techniques.
- Keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Proficient in soldering, calibrating, and testing electronic PCBs and equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Good verbal communication skills, particularly in English, are preferred.
- Demonstrates creativity, critical thinking, and curiosity.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Capability to lift and transport weights up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility enabling walking, climbing, and navigating refinery or plant environments, including elevated platforms accessed by ladders or stairs.
- Effective verbal and auditory communication abilities.
- Strong focus and multitasking skills.
- Willingness and ability to wear necessary safety gear as mandated by the safety department within manufacturing settings.
- Adequate personal mobility and reflexes to perform office-related tasks and travel to other locations as needed.
