Role Overview
The Executive, Government Relations acts as a crucial intermediary between the company and various government bodies at local and state levels. This position involves fostering and strengthening relationships with government officials and agencies to advocate for company interests, ensure compliance with regulations, and shape public policies in line with organizational goals.
Crewing Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily arrangements for Aramco IDs for shore staff, offshore crew, and third-party contractors through the Aramco ID offices.
- Facilitate procurement of Coast Guard and Zawil passes (Saudi government port entry passes) for shore staff, offshore crew, and third-party contractors on a daily basis.
- Represent the organization in resolving operational and administrative matters at Aramco offices and the port.
Base Office Duties
- Assist in handling vehicle accident cases, including managing government procedures necessary for insurance claims.
- Organize issuance of Aramco vehicle stickers for Safaniyah office vehicles and those of third-party contractors.
- Provide support related to hospital assistance for onshore and offshore crew members through follow-up and coordination.
- Establish and nurture strong ties with government officials, agencies, and associated institutions to further the company's objectives.
- Handle all visa-related activities including Iqama renewals, cancellations, exit and re-entry permits, and other employee documentation.
- Supervise the timely renewal of corporate licenses, permits, and registrations such as MISA, municipality licenses, and civil defense approvals.
- Ensure organizational compliance with government laws and regulations by cooperating with internal teams and managing official communications.
- Attend and represent the company at government agencies when required.
- Offer assistance to Operations, Technical, and Crewing departments as needed.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Diploma or Degree is preferred.
- Experience in public affairs, legislative work, or regulatory environments is desirable.
- Proven capabilities in managing relationships with clients and government authorities, a strong understanding of government systems and protocols, and effective time management skills.
