Position Overview
Join Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. in Delhi as a Facilities Manager responsible for supporting various departments administratively and ensuring smooth day-to-day business operations. This pivotal role impacts organizational effectiveness at a medium-term horizon with a focus on maintaining office infrastructure, environment, properties, and guest houses.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage office infrastructure by supervising telephone services including coordination with MTNL, handling monthly billing, and overseeing housekeeping and pest control operations within the premises.
- Arrange and maintain potted plants, plan seating layouts, and oversee weekly canteen menus while ensuring raw material quality, minimizing food waste, and monitoring utility consumptions such as water, electricity, and LPG. Process weekly and monthly bills related to these services.
- Liaise with government bodies like NDMC, MCD, Police, Fire Department, Electricity, and Transport authorities to secure necessary permits, sanctions, exemptions, or subsidies, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Design and implement administrative systems, policies, and procedures to promote seamless office management.
- Oversee management and operations of company guest houses in Delhi, confirming bookings and ensuring maintenance standards. Additionally, supervise property upkeep at company facilities in Hardwar, including Madhuban and Kasturi Ashram.
- Coordinate with the Projects Department as needed and manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) for office equipment, including vendor negotiations, selections, renewals, and ensuring adherence to service level agreements to optimize resource use.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate or MBA degree essential.
- Between 10 to 15 years of relevant professional experience in facilities or office management.
