About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead the financial strategy for a landmark dual-phase project in Albania. The initiative begins with the launch of our flagship Casino in late 2026, followed by the grand opening of the Hotel in late 2027. This role will support a complex operation consisting of over 400 employees, offering a unique chance to establish a best-in-class financial and accounting framework from scratch, turning strategic goals into a successful and profitable business.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial results including Profit & Loss and gaming-specific key performance indicators.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, focusing on revenue and EBITDA projections.
- Ensure local financial data integrates properly with Group-wide reporting standards.
- Oversee month-end close procedures, manage internal and external audits, and guarantee compliance with Barrière internal controls and Albanian tax laws.
- Manage cash flow forecasting on a weekly and monthly basis, control vault and cage liquidity, and reconcile cash movements with gaming operations.
- Perform monthly inventory audits of gaming and food & beverage stock and analyze immediate costs to improve profit margins.
- Handle negotiations with operational and beverage suppliers to optimize procurement contracts.
- Present monthly business reviews to local management, headquarters, and property owners.
- Lead and mentor a finance team member, guiding the evolving finance department alongside business growth.
Qualifications & Skills
- At least five years of experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within Gaming, Casino, or Luxury Hospitality industries.
- Proven expertise managing complex cash flow forecasts and maintaining relationships across multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with management contracts is beneficial.
- Advanced skills in data handling tools such as Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience using software platforms including Workday, OPERA, and SYMPHONY is highly desirable.
- Proficient English language skills are required; knowledge of French is an advantage.
Compensation
The role offers a monthly salary of 200000 Lek.
