Housekeeper - First Shift, Full-Time

Role Overview

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all hospital areas and affiliated buildings. Duties include organizing furniture and ensuring all equipment and storage spaces are neat and sanitized. The role does not involve access to patient health records but may involve access to medication storage excluding controlled substances as needed for job duties.

Work Schedule

This position operates on the first shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 40 hours weekly, including every weekend.

Expected Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to read, write, and adhere to both verbal and written instructions.
• Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Training is offered on the job to develop necessary cleaning skills.
• Competency in operating cleaning tools such as vacuum cleaners is required.
• Capability to clean areas contaminated with blood and bodily fluids.
• Experience cleaning furniture, windows, walls, restrooms, as well as dust mopping and damp mopping hard floors.
• Proficiency in replenishing paper supplies, replacing waste liners, and safe handling of hazardous cleaning chemicals.

Physical Requirements

• Must demonstrate full body mobility sufficient to pass the FIT test for the role, including abilities to stand, bend, stoop, and sit for long durations.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
