Housekeeping Runner

Position Overview

The Housekeeping Runner role entails efficiently transporting linen carts laden with clean laundry from the laundry area to storage rooms on each floor within the property. This includes replenishing linen supplies in accordance with the linen distribution form, returning carts to designated locations post-shift, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage areas including laundry rooms, supply closets, linen rooms, and uniform rooms. The role requires vigilance in reporting maintenance issues that may arise in public or guest spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport linen carts containing clean laundry to various floors' storage rooms.
• Replenish linens in storerooms as specified by distribution documentation.
• Return carts to assigned areas at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in laundry and supply/storage rooms, linen, and uniform rooms.
• Report any observed maintenance concerns in public or guest areas promptly.

• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries immediately.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance in uniform and personal grooming.
• Uphold confidentiality of all proprietary company information.

• Welcome guests warmly and acknowledge them following company standards.
• Proactively anticipate guests’ needs and provide assistance, including support for individuals with disabilities.

Physical Demands

• Lift, move, carry, and place items weighing up to 55 pounds independently, and heavier items with assistance.
• Push or pull machinery across uneven or sloping surfaces.
• Manually manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Perform physical movements including bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and reaching overhead or below knees for extended periods.
• Navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces during work shifts.
