Role overview

As an IBM Maximo EAM Functional Specialist, you will take ownership of the day-to-day administration, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of the IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management platform. The position focuses on keeping the system dependable for business users while also driving enhancements, integrations, reporting, and issue resolution in partnership with IT and operational teams.

What you will do

• Manage, configure, and provide support for IBM Maximo 7.x modules and applications.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to Maximo, IBM HTTP Server, and connected integrations.
• Build and maintain workflows, roles, actions, and action groups within Maximo.
• Develop and update BIRT and Actuate reports, along with Cognos integration work.
• Handle data migration tasks using MDL, GDL, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Set up and support interfaces through the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF).
• Draft technical documents and system configuration manuals.
• Work closely with end users, vendors, and internal IT stakeholders to implement improvements and close issues efficiently.

Requirements

The role calls for a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar discipline, along with 6 years of IT experience and at least 5 years of hands-on IBM Maximo experience. Strong practical knowledge of Maximo 7.x installation, configuration, and administration is essential. Candidates should also be familiar with workflows, MIF, BIRT, Cognos, and WebSphere, and have experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2, SQL, and PL/SQL. Good analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and problem-solving skills are important, as is clear written and spoken English. IBM Maximo 7.x certification is an added advantage, and the ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment is preferred.
