Overview
As an Intelligence Planner, you will leverage your expertise in intelligence to support the integration of Defense and National Intelligence capabilities. This role involves crafting campaign and contingency plans, crisis management options, and other time-sensitive strategies aligned with the Advanced Planning and Execution System (APEX). You will work to provide critical intelligence insights, helping decision-makers and warfighters with vital information.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop campaign, contingency, and crisis management plans, along with time-sensitive assessments following APEX guidelines.
- Conduct feasibility assessments for intelligence operations within planning cycles.
- Collaborate on intelligence planning teams to ensure strategic and operational planning includes intelligence equities.
- Identify intelligence resource shortfalls and devise mitigation approaches.
- Integrate intelligence products and services that support the Joint Planning Process (JPP), including collection, analysis, production, and targeting synchronization.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in intelligence planning, particularly at Combatant Command level.
- At least 2 years at a Combatant Command, National Intelligence Agency, or Service Component.
- Familiarity with joint, combined, multi-domain operations planning, including campaign and contingency planning and maintaining base plans, annexes, and appendices.
- Experience working with National Intelligence Support Plans, Joint Staff, and Combat Support Agencies; participation in joint working groups and briefings for senior defense and intelligence personnel.
- Understanding of the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and related concepts such as JIPOE, Center of Gravity Analysis, Enemy Courses of Action, and Annex Bs.
- Proficiency with Intelligence Community (IC) standard intelligence and production tools, databases, techniques, and joint exercise program planning.
- Knowledge of the Five Stages of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and experience with joint, bilateral, and multilateral exercises.
- TS/SCI security clearance required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant intelligence planning, operations, or analysis experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with military decision-making processes alongside the Joint Planning Process.
- Background in foreign planning, theater campaign strategies, and organizational leadership.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Office 365.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence in leadership interactions.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Master's degree is desirable.
- Certifications such as Joint Intelligence Planner – I, DoD Intelligence Planning Course, Joint Professional Military Education Phase I or II, and advanced intermediate military education (e.g., SAW, SAMS, SAASS).
Clearance and Other Information
Candidates must undergo a security investigation and maintain eligibility for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation ranges annually from $77,500 to $176,000 USD, reflecting individual experience and organizational requirements. Work Environment and Policies
This is a remote position, with occasional requirements to attend Booz Allen or customer facilities.
