About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned IT Operations Manager to lead the technological setup and ongoing IT management for the Sofitel Dublin Airport Hotel, a luxury flagship property operated by the acclaimed Arora Group in collaboration with Sofitel by Accor. Located adjacent to Terminal 2, this prestigious hotel aims to elevate the guest experience at one of Europe's busiest airports, featuring 412 stylish rooms, extensive event spaces, and a rooftop bar with stunning panoramic views of Dublin and the airport.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the installation, configuration, and rigorous testing of all IT systems before the hotel opens.
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and Head Office IT teams to coordinate infrastructure rollout.
Support deployment of critical systems including Property Management System (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), networking, telephony, IPTV, audiovisual, and guest Wi-Fi services.
Ensure complete operational readiness, security, and documentation of all systems prior to launch.
Manage the daily IT operations across the hotel facility.
Serve as the primary escalation contact for all IT-related concerns and swiftly resolve support issues, adapting to operational needs.
Deliver hands-on technical support to both staff and guests as needed, including occasional out-of-hours assistance.
Maintain backup procedures, logging mechanisms, and regularly verify their functionality.
Secure systems in compliance with GDPR and Arora’s internal policies, actively managing cybersecurity risks and access controls.
Facilitate the rollout of software upgrades, new applications, and IT projects to enhance hotel operations.
Collaborate with hotel teams to optimize system usage and efficiency.
Conduct training sessions on systems, policies, and emerging technologies for employees.
Maintain constant communication with Head Office IT regarding issues, system updates, and improvements.
Manage configuration changes related to telecoms and network infrastructure.
Support IT and audiovisual requirements for meetings, conferences, and events hosted at the hotel.

Candidate Profile

Demonstrable experience in a comparable IT role within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment.
Background in pre-opening phases is highly desirable.
Experience in supporting multi-departmental hotel operations.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft environments including Windows Server, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, and Office 365.
Robust understanding of networking principles (LAN/WAN), protocols, and infrastructure.
Familiarity with hotel-specific systems such as Opera PMS, Simphony POS, HSIA, audiovisual, CCTV, digital signage, and telephony.
Knowledge of backup technologies, for example Azure Backups or similar solutions.
Hands-on experience with AV systems and technical support for event technology.
Practical expertise in cabling, patching, and telecom wiring.
