Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to become part of our Application Support team. This role is ideal for entry-level candidates or junior professionals passionate about software engineering and technology eager to develop their careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver application support and troubleshoot issues arising in production environments.
• Monitor performance of applications to guarantee their availability and stability.
• Investigate and resolve technical incidents and service requests effectively.
• Assist with application updates, bug fixes, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business stakeholders, and support personnel to identify and apply solutions.
• Conduct debugging and root cause analysis to address problems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for supported applications.
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts and share knowledge within the team.
• Adhere to established support methodologies and best practice protocols.

Required Skills and Experience

• Solid foundation and knowledge in Java programming language.
• Experience or understanding of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Basic familiarity with SQL and fundamentals of application troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of RESTful API concepts and usage.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and ability to work collaboratively on teams.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical environments.

Preferred Skills

• Some exposure to Python programming.
• Basic understanding of shell scripting techniques.
• Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook for interactive computing.
• Prior experience with application support through jobs, internships, or academic projects is beneficial.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Approximately 1-2 years of overall experience encompassing software engineering, application support, internships or relevant project work is expected.
• Fresh graduates possessing substantial project/internship experience specifically in Java technologies are welcome to apply.
• Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain any necessary security clearances and site access required for client engagements.
