Role Overview

As a Site Labourer, you will be integral to maintaining a safe, orderly, and efficient worksite. This role serves as a foundational training position, providing exposure to operational equipment, tools, and safety measures. Outstanding candidates demonstrating initiative and mechanical aptitude may progress to roles such as Heavy Equipment Operator or Plant Maintenance Technician.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out manual labor tasks around the crushing plant, such as shoveling spillage and clearing walkways.
Clean and detail company vehicles and heavy equipment interiors to uphold quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness in shop and break areas, including emptying trash and sweeping floors.
Perform grounds upkeep like weed eating and brush clearing at site boundaries.
Operate small machinery including skid steers and mini-excavators for debris removal and light earthmoving.
Support maintenance staff by preparing for large-scale tasks, including setting up hoses, lighting, and tool organization.
Inspect vital safety equipment regularly to ensure functionality.
Organize parts storage and tool areas, ensuring items are properly stored and accounted for.
Assist with inventory tasks, including parts counting, receiving deliveries, and shelf stocking.
Run errands to bring tools and materials to mechanics and operators during repair operations.
Uphold and promote strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and encourage a culture of safety throughout all workstations.

Candidate Profile

Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license is required.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform activities involving standing, kneeling, stooping, and shoveling for extended durations.
Preparedness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
Willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks and eagerness to learn from experienced operators and maintenance teams.
Compliance with all safety standards and correct use of company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators where necessary. Employees using respirators must maintain a clean-shaven face to pass fit testing.
