Laundry Worker

About the Role

We are seeking a Laundry Worker to join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG), dedicated to supporting long-term care facilities by ensuring linens and personal clothing remain clean and readily available. As part of HCSG, you will contribute to a positive impact on the communities served, enhancing the experience of both residents and customers.

Key Duties

• Gather, categorize, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal garments efficiently and carefully.
• Operate laundry machines with safety and competence.
• Keep detailed records of laundry operations and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to supervision.
• Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and universal precaution measures to maintain hygiene and safety.
• Engage courteously and professionally with residents, staff members, and visitors, delivering top-quality customer interactions.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned in support of the laundry operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior experience in laundry services is advantageous though not essential.
• Maintain a positive outlook and communicate effectively with building personnel, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
• Physical ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as push, pull, stand, sit, bend, and walk for prolonged durations.
• Capability to safely work around cleaning chemicals.
• Follow both oral and written instructions accurately and perform routine, repetitive tasks efficiently each day.
• Must reside within the designated service area.
