About the Role
Amazon is actively seeking an energetic and customer-focused Logistics Supervisor to lead and nurture teams across both Amazon Logistics (AMZL) and Fulfilment Center (FC) environments. This position demands a flexible leader capable of managing diverse operations within a fast-moving and evolving setting. The role involves optimizing workflows, surpassing customer expectations, and championing continuous enhancements to operational effectiveness. Primary Responsibilities
- Direct daily operational activities within AMZL and FC units, managing a workforce of approximately 30 to 40 personnel including Operations Assistants, Delivery Service Providers, and Associates.
- Coordinate labor distribution, lead team meetings, assign tasks, and maintain rigorous organizational standards.
- Motivate, train, and develop highly effective teams, fostering a positive workplace environment focused on engagement, safety, and compliance with Amazon’s stringent Health and Safety guidelines.
- Closely monitor performance metrics, conduct root cause analyses for performance challenges, and implement targeted solutions to enhance key performance indicators in both operational domains.
- Continuously identify and execute process improvements that simplify complex challenges without sacrificing quality or functionality, applying in-depth problem-solving and analytical expertise.
- Communicate operational metrics and exception reports effectively to diverse audiences, collaborating cross-functionally to resolve challenges and disseminate best practices. Manage relationships and performance with external agencies.
- Make informed, swift decisions in a dynamic environment, evidencing strong analytical and judgment capabilities.
- Utilize and support the adoption of operational technology and tools; ensure adequate resource availability for associates and facilitate hardware/software maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of two years’ experience as a blue badge/full-time Amazon employee.
- At least one year of experience managing employees and overseeing performance.
- Flexible work availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical capability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand or walk for up to 12-hour shifts, and routinely perform activities like pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and reaching.
- Demonstrated competency in leading teams to achieve results, with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication.
Preferred Experience
- One or more years’ expertise in managing performance metrics, process optimization, or lean methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline.
- Experience operating within a high-velocity, rapidly evolving, or international work environment.
