Position Overview

The Maintenance Coordinator serves as the central communication point for operational teams, addressing equipment malfunctions, damage, or faults. This role provides initial remote support to operators when possible and efficiently dispatches emergency repair teams to ensure equipment is restored safely and promptly.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main liaison between operations and maintenance, coordinating both planned and unplanned equipment handovers.
Prioritize equipment failures based on business impact and escalate complex cases appropriately.
Organize response teams and allocate necessary resources to minimize equipment downtime.
Monitor maintenance costs, response times, and efficiency related to faults, implementing process improvements.
Support the Maintenance Analyst with detailed insights on failure characteristics and repair methods.
Track KPIs and exceptions related to faults, taking corrective actions to sustain operational reliability and performance.
Ensure accurate and comprehensive recording of all faults in the IFS 10 CMMS system, including detailed downtime analyses and maintenance planning.
Prepare end-of-shift reports highlighting impact on operations and completed technical tasks.
Adapt and implement local improvements to global unplanned maintenance procedures to reduce repair times and ensure safety.
Participate in the APMT Global Asset Maintenance Community and support investigations into technical incidents.
Share lessons learned from equipment failures within the terminal and provide support to internal and global maintenance teams for best practice adoption.

Implement and manage technical maintenance policies and operational procedures to assure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Relevant technical education background
Experience in technical maintenance and repair of port terminals or heavy industrial equipment
Proficient in advanced diagnostics and fault/damage detection of machinery
At least 2 years of experience in emergency response, diagnostics, and repair activities within similar industrial environments
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in high-pressure settings, with quick assessment and prioritization skills
Strong commitment to continuous improvement
Communicative level of English language proficiency
