Work Arrangement

Work onsite Monday through Thursday alongside your team in Galway, Ireland. Fridays offer flexibility to work remotely or onsite based on work needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure production, inventory, and MRO items promptly and cost-effectively.
• Review purchase requisitions to assess specifications, quantities, and delivery needs.
• Select and recommend suppliers from approved lists for scheduled deliveries.
• Onboard new suppliers pertinent to material planning.
• Maintain current ABC classification for effective planning and inputs into the Plan For Every Part (PFEP) process.
• Manage inventory and safety stock levels to meet customer service and inventory goals.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address supplier quality issues.
• Proactively identify shortages, investigate root causes, and facilitate corrective actions.
• Evaluate supplier-related cost and cash flow optimization opportunities.
• Select items for KanBan and supplier replenishment processes.
• Lead and guide team members to achieve organizational objectives.
• Expedite deliveries to satisfy critical requirements and maintain supply continuity.
• Coordinate with production planners when supply delays occur and maintain material plans within the scheduling fence.
• Assess and escalate supplier performance issues to Procurement.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies between suppliers and accounting departments.
• Analyze material and capacity to provide accurate customer promise dates for sales orders.
• Maintain updated lead time data reflecting process improvements, demands, and priorities.
• Manage internally held and supplier-managed inventory to meet schedules.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to address complex delivery challenges.
• Communicate forecast and replenishment plans to suppliers.
• Monitor open orders, vendor performance, and expedite as necessary, ensuring delivery, quality, and pricing issues are resolved promptly.
• Identify and implement productivity and cost reduction initiatives aligned with corporate goals, maintaining related reporting and pipeline records.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing planning or purchasing.
• APICS CPIM certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong understanding of the manufacturing supply base and supplier processes.
• Experienced in production and supplier scheduling and supplier capabilities.
• Ability to mentor and provide guidance to team members.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Solid basic math skills.
• Experience working in rate-based, flow-line (non-MRP), and job shop manufacturing environments.
• Knowledgeable in operations, inventory management, Material Requirements Planning, and lean manufacturing.
• Familiarity with visual management systems.
