We are gearing up to expand with a new flagship restaurant opening in 2026 and seek an exceptional Operations Manager to lead and support this growth.

Position Purpose

This key leadership role involves managing daily restaurant operations, developing scalable systems, and building a high-performance team to support ongoing success and expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, scheduling, and continuous staff development to build and maintain a strong team.
• Ensure operational readiness, meeting quality standards and fully staffed shifts across locations.
• Oversee daily business functions, uphold company policies, and contribute to both administrative projects (60-80%) and direct restaurant involvement (20-40%).
• Train and supervise staff adherence to company procedures and actively work on improving operational systems.
• Operate and lead restaurant locations effectively with occasional oversight from the owner.
• Motivate and set exemplary standards for the team, fostering accountability and a proactive culture.
• Drive business progress by participating in management training and executing strategic plans.
• Manage weekly supervisor meetings to address feedback, customer concerns, and staff issues.
• Act as the integrator coordinating daily operations alongside the Owner and management team.
• Ensure achievement of key performance indicators: labor cost percentage, food cost percentage, customer satisfaction, and team retention.
• Manage supervisors and staff performance to meet organizational goals.
• Monitor critical metrics regularly including labor efficiency, waste reduction, and customer feedback.
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee quality and scalability.
• Ensure timely completion of all assigned responsibilities.
• Collaborate strategically on projects, goal setting, and quarterly planning with store managers and supervisors.
• Translate company vision into actionable weekly plans and systems that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee prime cost management including food and labor expenses.
• Facilitate audits when required.
• Co-manage operations alongside the Assistant Manager, providing guidance and stepping in as necessary.
• Oversee purchasing and inventory management, ensuring accurate orders, up-to-date inventory, and cost control.
• Manage internal and external communications effectively, including announcements, SOP updates, contractor interactions, and owner reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a leadership position within the Food and Beverage industry.
• Deep understanding of restaurant operations, leadership roles, and team culture.

• Proven ability to manage teams of 20 or more in hospitality, demonstrating excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong administrative and interpersonal abilities with a commitment to integrity and honesty.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 annually.
• Quarterly bonuses up to 20% of annual salary based on performance.
• Full-time, on-site role located in Honolulu, Hawaii.
