About the Role
A Federal Government client is seeking a seasoned PMO and Business Delivery Coordinator to facilitate the execution of a significant national transformation program. This position is embedded within a multidisciplinary program environment, providing critical coordination across PMO governance, project execution, business analysis, and product release management functions. The incumbent will collaborate closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to ensure effective project delivery while upholding governance standards, reporting accuracy, and stakeholder engagement across various workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage coordination of project delivery activities from project initiation through implementation to closure.
- Assist PMs, project managers, business analysts, and product owners in planning and achieving project deliverables.
- Maintain essential governance artefacts including project schedules, status reports, RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) registers, and change management documentation.
- Organize and support PMO governance meetings, reporting frameworks, and secretariat duties.
- Facilitate release planning, ensuring implementation readiness, coordinating deployments, and supporting post-release tasks.
- Keep project documentation current on collaboration platforms such as SharePoint and Confluence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for PMO processes, governance structures, and delivery methodology.
Essential Requirements
- Must be an Australian citizen.
- Proven experience in PMO, project coordination, project support, or business delivery roles related to technology or transformation initiatives.
- Solid knowledge of project governance principles, reporting standards, and project lifecycle coordination.
- Experience maintaining project schedules, RAID registers, issue tracking, dependencies, and governance records.
- Familiarity with release management, deployment coordination, and ensuring readiness for implementation.
- Competence with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, and the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with data visualization and automation tools such as Power BI and Power Automate.
- Previous employment or familiarity with the Australian Public Service or Federal Government environments.
- Knowledge of delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid models.
- Background in supporting digital, data-driven, or technology transformation programs.
