Role Overview
The Procurement Officer specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) will play a key role in managing procurement activities within MEP categories. The role involves organizing and ensuring compliance in sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and awarding processes, maintaining thorough documentation throughout. This position is ideal for individuals attentive to detail, commercially savvy, and capable of collaborating closely with internal teams, suppliers, and technical consultants during the procurement lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage and support procurement operations related to MEP categories, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and contract awarding procedures.
- Create and prepare procurement documentation such as tender packages, clarification logs, and evaluation formats.
- Distribute and oversee communications for Expressions of Interest (EOI), Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP) with suppliers.
- Keep up-to-date procurement tracking records, action logs, registers, and filing systems.
- Assist with supplier prequalification processes, tender openings, compliance checks, and evaluation sessions.
- Coordinate with technical consultants to gather evaluation feedback and handle clarifications.
- Support commercial analysis tasks by compiling bid comparisons, tabulations, and drafting recommendation documents.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Between 4 and 8 years of professional experience in procurement within construction, infrastructure, or real estate project environments.
- Solid understanding of tendering procedures, supplier communication practices, and procurement administrative processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business, or Law.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to maintain comprehensive procurement documentation and records.
