Role Overview

The Project Manager for Cladding is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of commercial cladding projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area. This includes managing projects from contract award to site close-out, ensuring budgets and costs are controlled, and coordinating the procurement of materials and equipment. The role requires close collaboration with estimating teams, site supervisors, and general contractors to maintain project schedules and scopes. Regular site presence is expected to meet with owners and GCs to monitor progress and proactively resolve issues. Maintaining strong client and consultant relationships is essential.

Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of cladding projects from awarding contracts through to project completion, including budget initiation, cost tracking, and processing final billings.
Plan and coordinate the delivery and procurement of materials and equipment to support site activities and prevent delays.
Manage RFIs, change orders, and contract documentation, working with estimating to evaluate scope and cost changes accurately.
Conduct regular site visits to meet with general contractors, owners, and supervisors to monitor progress, coordinate schedules, and troubleshoot field challenges.
Act as the key liaison for clients and consultants during the project, ensuring clear communication and relationship management.
Review and verify shop drawings, submittals, and field reports for alignment with project specifications and applicable building codes.
Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with site teams, trades, and contractors.
Ensure all work meets quality standards, technical specifications, and code requirements.
Build and sustain client and consultant relationships to foster repeat business and support division growth.
Provide regular status reports to division leadership highlighting risks, potential cost exposures, and schedule impacts.

Required Skills & Experience

3 to 5 years of experience managing commercial cladding or related building envelope construction projects.
Proficiency with cladding systems and exterior building envelope materials, including the ability to interpret architectural plans and technical specifications.
Experience in project budgeting, cost monitoring, and handling change orders.
Familiarity with construction project management software such as Procore or similar platforms for tracking RFIs, submittals, and schedules.
Post-secondary education in construction management, civil engineering technology, or a related discipline is advantageous.

Salary range: $80,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience.
