Project Manager - Construction

Position Overview

We are recruiting for an experienced Construction Project Manager based in County Kerry to oversee large-scale construction projects across multiple sites. This role demands end-to-end management of projects, ensuring delivery adheres to timelines, budget constraints, safety, and quality requirements. It combines responsibilities both on-site and within an office setting, requiring strong leadership and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery from initial planning stages through to completion and handover.
• Manage site teams, including subcontractors, engineers, and design consultants.
• Coordinate design progress, respond to requests for information (RFIs), and organize technical workshops.
• Track project schedules, budgets, and milestone achievements.
• Compile weekly work schedules and progress documentation.
• Maintain communication with clients, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Facilitate and lead site and management meetings.
• Foster a culture prioritizing health, safety, environmental standards, and quality quality assurance.
• Collaborate closely with commercial teams to meet project goals.
• Address technical and operational challenges promptly to ensure project continuity.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Holder of a degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Demonstrated project management experience within construction or civil engineering sectors.
• Background of advancement from a Senior Engineer role.
• Strong expertise in in-situ concrete frame construction and civil works.
• Excellent leadership abilities along with effective communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Commercial acumen with significant experience in cost management.
