About the Role
Join Narrative PR as a Publicist Assistant and support high-profile projects for top filmmakers, actors, and production companies. The position demands a strong grasp of the entertainment and media industry, excellent multitasking abilities under tight deadlines, and a proactive, solutions-focused approach to anticipate and manage challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily administrative duties for publicists, such as scheduling, calendar coordination, note taking, expense management, and communication via phone and email.
- Organize logistics for clients' press events, interviews, red carpet appearances, photo shoots, and other engagements.
- Develop and update client appointment schedules.
- Maintain digital press kits including detailed client biographies.
- Track media coverage regularly and produce daily and weekly media clippings reports, providing digital insights to clients.
- Prepare and submit memos for review and approval by senior staff members.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests.
- Coordinate with colleagues based in both New York and Los Angeles offices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related discipline required.
- Minimum of one year of full-time administrative experience within the entertainment sector or with studios, agencies, or media firms.
- A creative, detail-oriented multitasker capable of meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding client data and schedules.
- Exceptional organizational skills suitable for a fast-paced workplace.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- A proactive, resilient, and motivated work ethic, with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
- Ability to perform independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to stay in the role for several years with possibilities for growth and mentorship.
- This role requires physical presence in the Los Angeles office daily; remote work is not available. Candidates must reside in Los Angeles.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranging from $20 to $22 with eligibility for overtime pay.
