Role Overview

The QA System Integration Manager spearheads the implementation and synchronization of Quality Management System (QMS) elements across Abbott Nutrition's manufacturing site. The focus is on harmonizing procedures, processes, systems, and enhancing personnel capabilities, particularly guiding the integration of an external manufacturing facility into Abbott's operations. This role ensures all quality system modifications are thoughtfully designed, authorized, deployed, and firmly embedded for sustainable compliance and inspection readiness.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end coordination of Quality System procedures and processes to ensure uniformity across multiple sites and departments.
• Manage development, revision, approval, and rollout of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and controlled documents adhering to corporate QMS standards.
• Translate procedural updates into actionable operational practices aligned with defined role expectations.
• Collaborate with Quality System Owners to identify existing gaps and develop future Quality System frameworks.
• Drive the implementation of procedure changes via training, user adoption, and sustained operational integration.
• Oversee assigned Quality System integration workstreams and ensure they align with overall integration program timelines and deliverables.
• Maintain integrated project plans, track dependencies, and handle issue resolution within Quality System initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration among Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, Regulatory, and Training teams.
• Exercise influence and alignment with stakeholders at various levels without direct authority.
• Facilitate change management efforts ensuring all users understand procedural changes and compliance requirements.
• Partner with training departments to deliver role-specific training and verify readiness and effectiveness.
• Monitor the adoption and impact of changes, proactively addressing risks to sustainability.
• Ensure all Quality System integration activities comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Identify and manage risks concerning procedural changes and system transitions.
• Support audit and inspection processes related to Quality System integrations.
• Report progress, manage risks, and evaluate outcomes, driving continuous improvement for Quality System governance and deployment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technical, scientific, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 to 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Manufacturing Operations, or Program Management.
• Proven expertise in leading procedure revisions and Quality System implementations within regulated industries.
• In-depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience as a Quality or Process Owner, supporting regulatory inspections and audits.
• Background in regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or nutrition products.
• Familiarity with Quality System integration, process governance, program execution, and dependency management.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, written and oral communication, and managing complex environments.
• Demonstrated high accountability and a focus on driving execution.

Contract Details and Location

This is a fixed-term contract position lasting three years based at Abbott's facility in Pokeno, Waikato, New Zealand.
