Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector based in Kajiado to join our team on a full-time contract basis. This role is critical to ensure that all materials and products meet the approved quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine raw materials, packaging components, ongoing production, and final products to ensure alignment with approved specifications.
- Perform routine quality assessments to detect defects, deviations, and any products that do not conform to standards.
- Authenticate product attributes including quality, weight, packaging, labeling, and batch information.
- Document inspection outcomes meticulously and maintain comprehensive quality records.
- Report instances of quality non-compliance and assist with corrective and preventive measures.
- Identify and isolate rejected or non-conforming materials to prevent usage.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Warehouse, and other departments to uphold quality benchmarks.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, hygiene protocols, and relevant quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- A diploma in Food Science, Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Quality Management, Production or Manufacturing, or related discipline.
- At least two years of experience in quality control or inspection within manufacturing or FMCG sectors.
- Sound understanding of manufacturing workflows and quality inspection methods.
- Competency in maintaining precise records and producing fundamental quality reports.
- Strong analytical abilities, communication skills, and capacity to solve problems effectively.
- High attention to detail and capability to perform under pressure during production activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with detergents, chemicals, household products, or other FMCG manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), or HACCP guidelines.
- Hands-on experience with quality inspection and testing tools.
