Senior Assistant Operations

Job Overview

This role involves executing warehouse operations efficiently, including tasks such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, inventory management, loading/unloading, and dispatch. The goal is to maintain high standards of safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately unload incoming shipments and verify quantities against documentation.
• Carry out Goods Receipt Note (GRN) activities per established procedures and perform timely put-away operations.
• Immediately report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies found during inbound operations.
• Accurately pick orders following system instructions, ensure packing meets customer requirements, and verify orders before dispatch.
• Support loading activities and prepare vehicles for timely dispatch while adhering to shipment cut-off deadlines.
• Maintain precise inventory records for assigned areas and participate in cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Report any stock variances or damaged inventory and follow inventory control methods like FIFO/FEFO.
• Adhere strictly to Maersk’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly, operate material handling equipment safely, maintain 5S housekeeping standards, and promptly report unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Comply with warehouse and customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Achieve daily productivity and accuracy targets, minimize errors in picking, packing, and shipping, handle products carefully to avoid damage, and participate in continuous improvement efforts.

Required Skills and Experience

• Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with SAP systems and basic Excel skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to work staged and night shifts as required.

Education & Eligibility

• Completed PUC or hold a graduate degree.
• Experience range from none to 2 years in warehouse or logistics operations; fresh candidates may be considered depending on operational needs.
