Job Summary

The role calls for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to enhance and evolve the company's SaaS platform, primarily focusing on backend services and the underlying architecture. Candidates will have the chance to also work on full-stack features utilizing React and Material UI. The backend services are built predominantly with Python (Django), and knowledge of C#/.NET is considered a valuable addition. The platform operates on AWS infrastructure employing modern practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

Develop clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code in Python (Django) and/or C# following best software standards.
Create and uphold backend services and RESTful APIs that support frontend applications and internal platforms.
Design and roll out new features and improvements in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
Identify and fix software defects and performance bottlenecks.
Engage in technical architecture and design discussions to refine platform capabilities.
Implement robust software design patterns.
Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliability of production services while collaborating with DevOps on deployments and operational enhancements.
Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and deployments.
Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting to deliver high-quality software features.
Communicate technical details effectively and document software for team knowledge sharing.
Participate in code reviews to uphold quality and maintainability.

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum five years of professional software development experience emphasizing backend engineering.
Experience with CI/CD workflows, automated testing, and modern software deployment.
Strong expertise in Python and Django for backend RESTful API development, with additional skills in C#/.NET considered advantageous.
Solid understanding of data modeling, query tuning, and database performance.
Proficiency in using relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication capabilities.

Preferred Additional Experience

Background in SaaS platforms with multi-tenant architectures.
Experience working in Agile development frameworks.
Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as AWS ECS or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of frontend technologies like JavaScript and React (Next.js is a plus), including UI component libraries like Material UI.
Experience in text processing, regular expressions, and managing different document formats.
Exposure to CAT tools like memoQ, SDL, or Memsource.
Experience with ASP.NET Core frameworks and ORM tools like Entity Framework.
Development experience in Windows or web application environments.
