Shift Supervisor

Overview

The Shift Supervisor will be accountable for overseeing all aspects of a production shift, including managing personnel, meeting production and quality objectives, and ensuring efficient and smooth operation of manufacturing processes. This role requires close attention to product quality, adherence to company health and safety protocols, and fostering clear communication with all team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Take complete charge of shift operations encompassing staff management, production output, and achievement of quality standards.
• Ensure that all products manufactured during the shift conform to company quality systems, processes, and procedures.
• Lead, develop, and motivate immediate reporting staff to promote high performance.
• Track, evaluate, and report on process performance and address general issues affecting production.
• Communicate effectively with staff verbally and in writing to maintain transparent workflow.
• Apply knowledge of VMC machines, programming, manpower management, and production efficiency comparisons between targets and actual outcomes.
• Enforce health and safety guidelines strictly in accordance with company policies, resolving related issues using internal resources.
• Utilize problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to assist team members in root cause analysis and prompt resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with other Shift Supervisors to ensure smooth production handovers through effective communication.
• Ensure training programs meet current and future shift requirements.
• Participate actively in the continuous improvement initiatives aimed at supporting the company’s growth plans.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness and safety by upholding housekeeping standards.
• Promote responsible use of company resources to optimize operating costs.
• Make well-informed decisions within the organizational framework.
• Demonstrate punctuality and maintain a high standard of timekeeping.
