About the Role

Join Parsons Corporation as a Site Engineer specializing in road construction in Qatar. In this position, you will lead and oversee daily site activities associated with road projects, ensuring that work is executed timely, within budget, and aligns with quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise all aspects of road construction, verifying adherence to design requirements, safety practices, and relevant regulations.
Collaborate with design and construction teams to coordinate road works including grading, paving, drainage installation, and signage.
Monitor project progress closely, identify any potential delays or problems, and implement corrective measures to keep schedules on track.
Perform site inspections to guarantee all road works meet high quality and approved design standards.
Maintain comprehensive documentation including progress updates, safety reports, and quality control records.
Ensure rigorous site safety management, enforcing safety protocols to mitigate risks.
Interface with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to coordinate timely availability of materials and services.
Support testing and commissioning activities, confirming road components satisfy required quality and operational specifications prior to handover.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
At least 10 years’ experience supervising road construction, including a minimum of 5 years as a site engineer on large infrastructure projects.
Proven expertise managing grading, paving, drainage, and similar road infrastructure tasks.
Strong knowledge of road construction standards, codes, and regulations.
Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
Membership in the MME professional body is mandatory.

Effective leadership capabilities to manage and supervise site teams.
Able to oversee multiple site activities and projects concurrently.
Familiarity with international building standards and local regulations pertinent to the Middle East and GCC regions.
Competency in AutoCAD and other civil engineering design software.
Detail-oriented with the ability to scrutinize designs for compliance and accuracy.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure managing several projects simultaneously.
