Role Overview

The Sitter Tech provides essential support to Registered Nurses (RNs) in delivering care to patients, particularly children, addressing both their healthcare needs and daily living activities. This role is part of the Flex/Float team working night shifts at Wolfson Children's Hospital located at Howard, Queensland, Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist RNs by supporting patients with daily living activities and ensuring a secure and safe environment.
• Collect laboratory specimens as needed to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Monitor patient intake and output to track fluid balance accurately.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records under RN supervision.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
• Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) from a recognized crisis prevention institute is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
