Program Overview

Casual Fridays invites current college students to apply for the Fall 2026 Student Creator Program, designed for those enthusiastic about content creation, social media, and hospitality marketing. This role operates as an independent contractor position (1099) and provides flexible, project-based work.

About Casual Fridays

Casual Fridays is a marketing agency focusing on social media, content creation, digital marketing, and paid social campaigns primarily within the hospitality sector, working with hotels, resorts, and travel brands across the U.S.

Role and Responsibilities

Create high-quality photography and video content using personal iPhone equipment for hospitality clients including hotels, resorts, restaurants, and attractions within assigned local markets.
Develop engaging short-form videos optimized for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and more.
Follow specific shot lists, creative briefs, and content requirements curated by the Casual Fridays team.
Make site visits to assigned locations maintaining professional liaison with property and client contacts and representing Casual Fridays with professionalism.
Identify and capture authentic, compelling story moments showcasing client brands and guest experiences.
Attend special events, festivals, or community activities as requested for content creation.
Edit photographs and videos as needed and deliver finished content assets in a timely fashion following project guidelines.
Collaborate remotely with Casual Fridays’ Account and Creative teams through occasional virtual meetings and proactive communication.

Qualifications

Strong passion for photography, videography, and social media content creation.
Proficient with iPhone photography and video techniques.
Experience creating content tailored for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with an ability to meet deadlines independently.
Access to reliable transportation within the local market.
Availability to conduct occasional content visits during weekdays, evenings, or weekends.

Preferred Experience

Background or experience related to hospitality, tourism, hotel, restaurant, or travel industries.
Previous work creating branded content or for business clients.
Awareness of current social media trends across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
A portfolio exhibiting skills in photography, videography, and short-form content creation.

Compensation and Work Conditions

Engagement as an independent 1099 contractor, paid per individual project or shoot.
Part-time and flexible scheduling to accommodate academic responsibilities.
Potential reimbursement for pre-approved project-related expenses.
