Role Overview

The Supervisor, Line Maintenance role is a key supervisory position responsible for overseeing daily line maintenance operations at assigned locations, ensuring inspection and repair services on aircraft are executed efficiently. A vital aspect of the role is guaranteeing that all overnight aircraft departures have 100% seat functionality, emphasizing the critical nature of staff scheduling and allocation.

Key Responsibilities

• Create weekly shift schedules for site personnel aligned with the customer's flight timetable.
• Manage inventory control and local logistics concerning customer assets and Panasonic-owned capital equipment.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance during overnight aircraft groundings.
• Administer office tasks related to site operations, including airport authority personnel management, customs clearance, security protocols, vehicle upkeep, and maintenance of the work environment.
• Engage regularly with customers at the Line Maintenance level and collaborate with local airport authorities, customs, freight forwarders, and brokers for logistical support.
• Liaise internally with MMS personnel, administrative staff, HR, and other departments to fulfill site-specific maintenance agreements.
• Occasionally perform onboard maintenance tasks and provide coverage for absent team members.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate direct reports to maintain operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Indian DGCA CAR66 Aircraft License or equivalent, enabling certification on various aircraft types and systems.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisory or crew chief role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability to address local issues promptly.
• Demonstrates seasoned judgment and expertise consistent with industry practices and company policies.
• Authorized to work legally in India via nationality, visa, or work permits.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
• Availability to work any shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Physical capacity to handle manual tasks such as tool handling, climbing ladders or platforms, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to work in challenging environments including extreme weather conditions, confined spaces, noise, and congestion.
• Valid driver's license and compliance with airport authority requirements for access and vehicle operation.
