Supervisor-Stewards

Position Overview

The Supervisor-Stewards role involves directing and aiding stewards to improve cleanup efficiency within the food and beverage operations at Four Points by Sheraton in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Key duties include managing water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning processes, assisting with banquet plate setups, supporting kitchen staff, and ensuring stock levels at banquet and buffet areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assist stewards in efficient cleanup activities.
• Monitor and document appropriate water temperature and chemical levels for cleaning.
• Help with banquet plate setups and support cooks and kitchen personnel.
• Ensure timely provision of necessary items to cooks.
• Support banquet and buffet services by transporting items and maintaining adequate stock.
• Return cleaned items to their designated places.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff.
• Comply with all company safety and security policies, report incidents, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and confidentiality of company information.
• Greet guests warmly and anticipate their service needs according to company standards.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Foster positive working relationships and support teamwork to achieve shared goals.
• Adhere to quality standards and expectations.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving items up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and maneuvering over varying surfaces.
• Carry out any other reasonable job duties as instructed by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
• At least one year of prior supervisory experience.
• No specific licenses or certifications are mandatory.
