Systems Administrator

About the Role

Join a prominent healthcare organization investing significantly in its IT infrastructure, including key upgrades such as Microsoft 365 modernization, expansion of Azure cloud services, and a major transition from VMware to Nutanix virtualization platforms. This role offers the chance to collaborate on an infrastructure team that manages a diverse range of systems and technologies rather than focusing on a narrow specialty.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and provide support for an extensive Windows Server enterprise infrastructure in a production environment.
• Oversee Microsoft products and services like Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Support virtualization environments including VMware and assist in the migration project to Nutanix.
• Engage in infrastructure initiatives such as server deployments, system upgrades, cloud strategy implementations, and enterprise technology rollouts.
• Handle backup, storage, disaster recovery, and routine infrastructure operations.
• Collaborate with vendors for infrastructure troubleshooting and resolution.
• Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance to support continuous 24/7 healthcare operations.

Candidate Profile

• At least four years of experience managing enterprise systems administration.
• Proficient with Windows Server management and administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Skilled in Active Directory and Group Policy administration.
• Experienced with VMware or equivalent virtualization platforms in enterprise settings.
• Able to provide operational support in a production infrastructure environment.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with a teamwork and collaborative mindset.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with Nutanix or similar virtualization migration projects.
• Familiarity with Exchange Online migration processes.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup and storage technologies such as Cohesity, Commvault, Dell, Pure Storage, or Veeam.
• Background in Linux system administration.
• Experience with Citrix, NetScaler, F5, or CrowdStrike solutions.
• Certifications like Security+, Microsoft, or related infrastructure credentials.
