Team Leader

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Team Leader plays a pivotal role within the management team by assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in managing the daily functions of a retail store. This includes leading and overseeing store associates, supervising merchandising and inventory activities, and maintaining high standards for customer service and store presentation.

• Guide and supervise store associates, providing leadership and assistance throughout daily operations.
• Manage store merchandising efforts, including shelf stocking and handling incoming shipments (boxing and unboxing).
• Ensure the store delivers excellent customer service consistently.
• Perform manager-on-duty duties such as monitoring employee breaks, timekeeping, and attendance.
• Uphold visual merchandising standards to maintain appealing store displays.
• Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain safety protocols and cleanliness within the store environment.
• Handle cash management tasks along with opening and closing the store when required.
• Participate actively in inventory management and employee training programs.
• Follow up on assigned tasks and contribute to recruitment and team performance management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least one year of experience working in retail.
• One to two years in a supervisory capacity within a retail or similar setting.
• Aspirations for upward mobility and career development within the organization.
• Availability to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-traffic store environment.
