Research and Development

Position: Technical Writer (Contract - 12 Months)
Based in Cork, Ireland, this role supports the Biologics Centre of Excellence by managing documentation and coordinating training to ensure compliance and preparedness for inspections. This position demands strong technical writing capabilities combined with training administration skills. It requires a proactive, self-driven individual with excellent organizational and communication skills capable of working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve the strategy for document management within the Biologics Centre of Excellence.
- Create precise, high-quality documents following data integrity and ALCOA standards while tailoring materials for the intended audiences.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert in Veeva Quality Documents and Compliance Wire systems, providing support and guidance to colleagues.
- Author, review, and approve documents such as BPDs, SOPs, protocols, reports, forms, and work instructions.
- Collaborate intensively with technical experts to gather detailed business and product insights necessary for accurate documentation.
- Communicate effectively to engage diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Suggest and implement improvements in technical writing processes, including development of advanced templates.
- Assist Technical Writing efforts across the site, partnering with various departmental experts.
- Oversee the migration of documents to Veeva Quality Documents and manage change requests accordingly.
- Support Global Training and Business Operations by developing training materials, guides, and e-learning modules targeting identified learning needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- A tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering or equivalent extensive experience in technical document writing.
