Test Manager

About the Role and Client

This position is for a Test Manager role supporting a Florida State Government Agency. The appointment is a 12-month contract located onsite in Tallahassee, Florida. Candidates must have U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status to be eligible. The hourly pay rate is $56.

Responsibilities

The Test Manager will oversee all facets of testing activities including strategy development, comprehensive planning, test design, execution, and user acceptance testing. Managing defect tracking and providing implementation support are also key responsibilities.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in software quality assurance, software testing, or test management, preferably with experience in enterprise application development, system modernization, or digital transformation projects.
• At least three years acting as a Test Manager or Test Lead, coordinating and directing testing efforts across numerous teams.
• Skilled in crafting and deploying enterprise-wide test strategies, master test plans, schedules, testing methods, and QA procedures.

Preferred Expertise

• Familiarity testing BPM, CRM, or enterprise workflow applications.
• Experience with legacy system modernization and migration to cloud platforms.
• Proficient in API, web services, interface, and data integration testing.
• Experience in developing automation testing strategies aligned with DevOps and CI/CD workflows.

Certifications

Preferred certifications include Pega-related credentials, ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP), Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist, or other equivalent quality assurance and project management certificates.
