Job Overview
This role supports data-centric decision-making for maintenance, fleet management, and operational planning at TTX by performing analysis, reporting, automation, and basic data science functions. The position operates under guidance from senior data professionals, focusing on data preparation, quality checks, reporting development, process automation, and contributing to predictive and optimization modeling initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, clean, verify, and prepare operational and business data for analysis and modeling purposes.
- Assist in developing, validating, and documenting predictive, statistical, and optimization models with senior support.
- Recognize trends and data quality issues impacting analytical insights and flag them accordingly.
- Maintain code repositories, analytical workflows, notebooks, and relevant documentation.
- Support maintenance planning and resource forecasting by projecting repair demands and resource requirements.
- Create and automate dashboards, reports, and metrics linked to fleet health, maintenance activities, and reliability trends.
- Help manage self-service data tools and train end-users on analysis best practices.
- Enhance key data tables to improve report generation speed and query efficiency.
- Contribute to quarterly planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement by analyzing trends affecting fleet availability and maintenance performance.
- Develop SQL queries and basic algorithms using Excel and Python.
- Use data visualization and analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Fabric and related platforms.
- Apply optimization methods, both linear and non-linear, where suitable.
- Utilize Power Automate and Power Apps to automate recurring tasks and minimize manual work.
- Document data flows, business requirements, reporting workflows, governance, and standards comprehensively.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in fields such as Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Economics, or related quantitative disciplines.
- Experience ranging from zero up to two years in analytics, reporting, or data science roles.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python data analytics libraries, advanced Microsoft Office, and data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, GitHub or other version control systems, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or cloud-based analytics ecosystems is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills characterized by discipline, objectivity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, organizational, and planning capabilities, with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally and across management levels.
Physical Requirements
The role primarily involves office work with some travel as needed. Daily tasks require frequent sitting and use of hands for handling, typing, and reaching. Occasionally, standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 10 pounds are necessary. Correctable vision for close and distant tasks is required.
