Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Associate Principal Engineer skilled in Python with strong expertise in frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI. The role focuses on building scalable backend services and RESTful APIs for enterprise applications, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend services and REST APIs using Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Design and manage database architectures, including data modeling and ensuring scalability and performance.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and other application-level security measures.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT for code generation, debugging, optimization, testing, and documentation.
• Integrate backend functionalities with frontend systems, third-party services, and enterprise platforms.
• Write clean, modular, and testable code adhering to best coding practices and standards.
• Perform code reviews and contribute towards refining development processes and engineering standards.
• Create and execute unit and integration tests to uphold application reliability.
• Engage actively in Agile practices, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Support deployments, monitor cloud/container environments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for delivering secure, efficient, and scalable software solutions.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts targeting performance, automation, reliability, and overall development efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
• Extensive practical experience developing in Python with solid command of Django, Flask, or FastAPI frameworks.
• Strong hands-on expertise designing and maintaining RESTful APIs for complex applications.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, query tuning, and performance optimization.
• Proven skills implementing authentication, authorization, and secure coding standards.
• Familiarity with testing strategies and adherence to code quality best practices.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Competence with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT or equivalents.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable code with thorough unit and integration testing.
• Experience in Agile software development processes, peer code reviews, and teamwork-driven collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude, debugging capability, and performance tuning skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement.
