Role Overview

We are seeking a Contract Data Engineer to advance the development of a modern Databricks environment and aid in delivering scalable, high-quality data solutions. This hands-on position requires independent work and rapid contribution to ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and improving ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Integrating additional data sources into the enterprise-wide data platform.
• Creating and fine-tuning Databricks-based solutions.
• Supporting enhancement of data models and semantic layers.
• Managing and curating data within the Gold Layer architecture.
• Increasing data accessibility for reporting and analytical purposes.
• Collaborating closely with BI resources to elevate reporting results.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a Data Engineer within cloud-based modern data environments.
• Strong practical knowledge and usage of Databricks.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• Experience with data modelling and enterprise data platforms.
• Familiarity with Power BI and reporting systems.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure data technologies.
• Background in constructing curated data layers and contemporary data architectures.
• Prior involvement in supporting business intelligence and analytics teams.
