Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive analysis of large, complex datasets to derive actionable insights that promote operational improvements.
• Create, develop, and implement advanced predictive models and algorithms tailored to aviation industry challenges.
• Continuously enhance machine learning models for accuracy, effectiveness, scalability, and identify automation opportunities to minimize manual processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including software developers, aviation specialists, and business leaders to devise innovative, impactful solutions.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in data science, AI, and aviation technology to foster ongoing innovation and advancement.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment with business goals through active stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher in fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Aviation Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 5 to 7 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a comparable role, ideally within aviation or closely related sectors.
• Proficient in programming languages including Python, R, or Java, with experience in data handling libraries like pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn.
• Strong grasp of machine learning algorithms including regression, classification, clustering, and neural networks, with a proven track record applying these to practical problems.
• Deep knowledge of operational research methodologies such as linear programming, resource allocation, and network optimization for solving complex operational issues.
• Competent in SQL and familiar with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, Azure, with an advantage in Databricks experience.
• Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.
• Knowledge or understanding of aviation operations and the specific challenges and opportunities in the airline industry is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to function effectively as a team member or independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills facilitating collaboration with diverse organizational stakeholders.
