Job Overview
STAFFXPERT LLC is looking for a Data Scientist to contribute to developing intelligent, data-powered features within operational tools at their Dallas, TX site. This contract role spans 6 months and focuses on leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to enhance decision-making processes and business recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models aimed at improving business recommendations and decisions.
- Conduct predictive, descriptive, and prescriptive analytics on extensive historical datasets to generate impactful insights.
- Construct efficient queries to analyze historical data and uncover relevant trends and patterns.
- Create data-driven strategic solutions targeting immediate business challenges and longer-term objectives.
- Develop forward-looking models to support recommendation systems rather than addressing only current issues.
- Work collaboratively with cross-department teams to embed ML functionalities into existing applications and operational tools.
- Effectively communicate complex data analyses and model outcomes to non-technical business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience with data science methodologies, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics techniques.
- Proven ability managing and analyzing large historical datasets with advanced data analysis practices.
- Strong SQL proficiency for data extraction and manipulation.
- Skilled in descriptive and prescriptive analytics to drive actionable business insights.
- Experience deploying machine learning models into enterprise environments or operational tools.
- Knowledgeable in recommendation systems, forecasting methods, optimization, and decision intelligence frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficient in Python programming and key data science libraries including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
- Ability to engineer intelligent decision support and recommendation engine systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to translate technical analyses into understandable business terms.
