Role Overview
We are seeking a Distribution Centre (DC) Systems Manager to lead the technology operations at our brand-new, cutting-edge 77,100 square meter omnichannel distribution hub in Redbank, Queensland. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique chance to be instrumental in launching and optimizing one of Australia's most advanced supply chain facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of system performance by managing and optimizing the newly deployed Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Execution System (WES), and Robotics Control Systems (RCS) to ensure superior omnichannel DC operations.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring they meet service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Partner with Technology, Supply Chain Continuous Improvement, and Operations teams to analyze business processes and implement system enhancements.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support onsite during system go-live and ongoing operations, collaborating with IT and network teams to resolve issues promptly.
Candidate Profile
You are a motivated self-starter with a combination of technical acumen and operational resilience. You excel at solving complex problems swiftly, communicating data effectively, and thriving in a rapidly evolving environment.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years experience within manufacturing, automated warehousing, or fast-paced logistics settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supply chain systems including WMS, TMS, and RCS, complemented by strong SQL capabilities; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
- Experienced in business workflow mapping and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Educational background includes certifications or diploma/degree qualifications in IT, Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or Supply Chain disciplines, or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent communication skills, strong analytical and troubleshooting ability, and leadership to guide teams through technology-driven transformations.
