Executive Sous Chef

Overview

Park Hyatt Doha is seeking a visionary Executive Sous Chef to assume full leadership over the hotel's culinary operations. This role will serve as the head of the culinary division, responsible for shaping the gastronomic identity, raising fine-dining standards, and leading a diverse team across several outlets. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced, creative, and strategic culinary professional with extensive background in luxury hotels, fine dining, and upscale restaurant management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all culinary operations within the hotel, acting as the principal head of the culinary division.
• Create and implement innovative menus and fine-dining concepts that exemplify Park Hyatt's luxury brand standards.
• Ensure outstanding food quality, consistency, and presentation throughout all food outlets and events.
• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing culinary team, encouraging a culture of excellence and creativity.
• Manage kitchen financials, including food cost control, inventory oversight, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of advancing leadership experience in culinary roles, including a minimum of 3 years as Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine.
• Proven track record in fine dining environments, Michelin-starred kitchens, or luxury 5-star hotels is required.
• Deep knowledge of modern culinary techniques, use of premium ingredients, and diverse international cuisines.
• Ability to lead large, multicultural teams effectively in a fast-paced luxury setting.
• Strong skills in financial management and operational oversight.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building abilities.
• Possession of a culinary degree or an equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• Experience working in the Middle East is advantageous but not mandatory.
