Role Overview

The Facilities Data Analyst plays a crucial role in improving facility operations and maintenance efficiency by leveraging data analytics. This professional gathers and scrutinizes data from various operational systems, including CMMS, BAS/BMS, and HVAC monitoring platforms, to reveal trends and optimize asset performance. The position collaborates closely with maintenance and facilities teams to drive actionable insights through dashboard creation and reporting that support strategic operational improvements, reduce costs, and boost client satisfaction. This role offers a unique opportunity for professionals with backgrounds in facilities, maintenance, or HVAC transitioning to a data analytics focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, cleanse, and verify data across multiple sources such as work order systems and operational databases to maintain data integrity.
• Analyze datasets involving maintenance, energy consumption, and asset management to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas.
• Create and sustain interactive visualizations, including dashboards and performance scorecards, utilizing Power BI and Excel.
• Provide actionable data insights to support decision-making by facilities and operations teams.
• Ensure high-quality reporting by monitoring data consistency and addressing discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in workload forecasting for maintenance and planning equipment lifecycle management.
• Produce scheduled and ad hoc reports tailored to management and operational needs.
• Document analytics workflows, data sources, and methodologies to ensure standardization and facilitate knowledge exchange.
• Work collaboratively with technical teams to refine data collection and integrate new analysis tools and methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Between 0 to 3 years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, operations, or technical environments such as HVAC or facilities management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel functions including PivotTables and formula-based data analysis.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or a willingness to acquire database querying skills is advantageous.
• Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for engaging cross-functional teams and conveying complex analyses clearly.
• Self-motivated with an eagerness to learn and adopt new analytical tools and technologies.
