Transol Logistics is a well-established UK-based logistics company with a widespread network of company-owned and franchise offices. As part of its international expansion plans, the company is inaugurating a Global Control Tower in Dubai. This new operational center will serve as a pivotal support hub for the UK business, offering specialized international logistics services to UK offices and franchises, while also backing up the European time-sensitive division.

Role Overview

This opportunity is to become one of the first two Global Freight Operations Executives forming the core of the Dubai Global Control Tower. Working from this new office, you will support UK operations in various logistics modalities including air, sea, road, courier, and customs processes, along with import/export documentation, customer service, and administrative support. As the team and services grow, a night shift will be introduced to ensure round-the-clock operational assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee international air and sea freight shipments from initial booking through to delivery.
• Coordinate urgent European time-critical road freight shipments.
• Manage emergency courier shipments worldwide.
• Handle import and export documentation accurately.
• Communicate regularly with airlines, shipping lines, overseas agents, and transport partners.
• Monitor shipment progress and keep customers informed proactively.
• Promptly resolve operational challenges with professionalism.
• Ensure adherence to international customs regulations and documentation standards.
• Provide operational support and respond to queries from UK offices and franchise partners.
• Perform general office administration tasks including data entry, reporting, and maintaining records.
• Assist with other reasonable administrative and operational duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

• At least 3 years of experience in international freight forwarding.
• Proven expertise in air freight, sea freight, European time-sensitive road freight, emergency courier operations, customs processes, and import/export documentation.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Good proficiency with computers and administrative tasks.
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-moving logistics environment.
• Flexible and hands-on approach, willing to support various business needs.
• Proactive mindset and enthusiasm for helping develop a growing international operation.

Working Hours and Operation

The initial work schedule is Monday through Saturday, with precise shift times to be determined. The aim is to expand to a 24-hour operation including night shifts as the team grows.
