Position Overview
PingWind is in search of a skilled and detail-focused Graphics Designer to aid the U.S. Army and Department of Defense with their visual communication and multimedia requirements. The chosen candidate will produce top-tier graphic designs, branding assets, layouts, and multimedia content to support training documentation, public affairs initiatives, strategic messaging, briefings, and other essential mission materials.
Location and Clearance
This position is based in Fort Belvoir, VA and requires a Secret security clearance.
Education and Experience Required
Candidates must hold an associate's or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, multimedia production, or a similar discipline, paired with a minimum of three years’ professional experience in graphic design, ideally working on Department of Defense, Army, or federal contracts.
Key Duties
- Design and develop 2D and 3D graphics, infographics, illustrations, and visual components for Army publications, training resources, and briefing documents.
- Support strategic communication and public affairs teams by creating digital media, event branding, and multimedia materials.
- Work collaboratively with instructional designers, authors, and subject matter experts to translate complex technical information into visually compelling and clear graphics.
- Generate visual aids such as PowerPoint slides, social media graphics, posters, banners, videos, and presentations.
- Ensure all outputs conform to Department of Defense and Army branding guidelines, security standards, and Section 508 accessibility compliance.
- Maintain and manage graphic asset libraries, templates, and version control through authorized file-sharing systems.
- Offer support for video editing, motion graphic creation, and interactive media projects as required.
- Utilize government platforms including SharePoint, Army MilSuite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Learning Management Systems.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- At least three years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in DoD, Army, or federal agency contexts.
- Adobe Certified Professional certifications in Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign are desirable.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense Instructional Systems Design methods and the Army Learning Concept is a plus.

Salary Details
The salary range for the graphics designer role is between $65,000 and $90,000 per year. This range serves as a guideline, and final offers take into account job duties, education, credentials, experience, internal salary structure, market data, and applicable laws.
