Role Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator is essential in cultivating a dynamic and welcoming store culture. This role suits candidates enthusiastic about workforce development, team engagement, and establishing a positive work environment. Collaborating closely with the Senior Human Resources & Training Manager and store leadership, the HR Coordinator implements programs designed to boost employee morale and encourage collaboration. Key duties include facilitating recruitment efforts, onboarding new hires, maintaining employee records, and assisting with various HR initiatives. The position also involves managing team-building events, overseeing attendance systems, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and relevant regulations. Acting as a primary resource for HR-related inquiries, the coordinator ensures effective support for employees, helping to create a seamless work experience. This opportunity is ideal for professionals eager to enhance their HR skills within a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with store management and the Senior HR & Training Manager to organize employee engagement activities such as summer cookouts and holiday celebrations.
- Assist in recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure new hires integrate smoothly into the company.
- Provide timely responses to HR-related questions from current employees and prospective candidates, directing inquiries as necessary.
- Handle HRIS system transactions including employee hires, job changes, and terminations.
- Manage HR initiatives like employee service awards and recognition programs.
- Maintain comprehensive, precise employee records, safeguard data integrity within HR systems, and manage document scanning and filing.
- Supervise the time and attendance process to assure accurate work hour records, proper scheduling, and payroll fidelity.
- Lead the store’s ACT Team to promote engagement and foster an inclusive workplace environment.
- Support assorted projects aligned with team and organizational goals to facilitate continuous improvements.
- Promote Fleet Farm's customer loyalty programs, credit card options, and corporate campaigns to increase customer interaction and sales.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferably at least two years of experience in HR roles, with a solid understanding of HR functions and employee engagement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with HRIS platforms such as UKG Pro, UKG Dimensions, or Kronos Workforce Central is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and detail-oriented skills.
- Proactive problem-solving ability and team collaboration aptitude.
